Since 1997 ifak has been active in the fields of industrial communication and distributed automation. Within short time ifak has grown to become a successful supplier of advanced automation solutions. ifak system is the business partner of choice for many leading manufacturers of automation and environmental technology around the world. The company developed its own portfolio of hardware- and software products. The employees of ifak system command an extensive knowledge ranging from schematic design over programming of embedded software up to application development. Its activities resulted in considerable experience in these areas which will be employed in the proposed project. Its business activities are structured within two groups called Industrial Communication and Automation.

The group Industrial Communication offers products and services for the factory and process automation as well as the automotive sector. The main focus is in the area of open fieldbus systems like Profibus, CAN and HART. Together with the area "Automation" ifak system offers customized hard- and software development which ranges from function design, prototype manufacturing, embedded developing to user implementation to maximize the support of the customer’s device development.

The group has been evolved into an independent supplier of Microsoft-based developing

tools. First experiences in this field have been made in 1998 with the OPC toolkit. Since 2001 the focus lies on products and services for the Engineering Standard FDT. To accomplish values for our customers the group consequently forgoes proprietary solutions. Our software tools simplify the handling of complex problems without spending your resources unnecessarily.

ifak system already gained experience in networking and project management through its involvement in cooperation projects on a national level.
